In the midst of all the major issues taking place in the world in defeating Satan’s strongholds and advancing the Kingdom of God I feel am honestly feeling guilty asking for prayers for ourselves.
I am committed to not letting the fire at the Community of the Cross divert us from either ministry or the strategic level prayer work that we are called to. However, we are dealing with a major crisis on the home front and urgently need both prayer and financial support.

As the fire raged damaging the log house we experienced a profound protection and peace from the Holy Spirit. But now that time has passed and the Spirit has lifted from us we face the crisis of the fire at the Community of the Cross and we are dealing with the grief of loss.
There is the huge amount of work that is required to connect with the insurance company, replace essential equipment and await decisions about the future of the log house. The loss of our teaching and hospitality space means there are extra challenges for hosting our fall ministry events. In addition, we have run out of money in general funds to cover program expenses as well as our support.
Cindy and I made a video sharing our hearts with you of the massive challenge that we face.
Two ways you can support us right now
1. Pray
Ask the Father to unleash the financial provision we need right now in order to meet the extra expenses and to meet the operational needs of the ministry.
2. Donate
If you can do donate now, or join our Sustaining the Flame program, that would be immensely helpful.
If the Lord is speaking to you about making a donation you can do that right now through our website.
The Prayer House
Please join us in praying for those major donations needed for building the Prayer House which is more urgent than before.
If the Lord is leading you to make a major gift to this ministry support and for building the Prayer House, please contact me at zeblong.prmi@gmail.com or call me on my mobile phone at 828 230 8136. I am very eager to talk with you about this and to share the vision and the need.
Thank you!
The Emotional Impact
The loss of the log house is more than just the loss of a building here is Jeanne Kraak who shares with us some precious memories of how it was her husband, Bill, and son, Nate, who built the back porch as the starting point of the ministry at the COC.
Frankly, we are all dealing with this loss in our own ways and are struggling to move forward with advancing the ministry under the obstacles of the grief, but also the lack of funds. So please pray for us.
Thanks for your love, friendship and prayers.
In Christ
Brad (With Martin Boardman and the Team)
Good morning,
I have be meaning to send this word of encouragement that I believe God put on on heart the middle if last week. However, a dear brother in Christ was called home to Jesus early Thursday morning. Perhaps you may remember Rev Robert Offerdahl. Bob participated with prmi way back with the founding pastor. He also attended the first three Rivers dunamis then visited again for a session later. He later did mission work with the native Americans of the Dakota’s.
What I wanted to share was I had been praying for you and prmi regarding the fire. The 2 days later while driving I was heard the song The Great I Am on k-love as I was singing along I felt God speaking to my heart that He will overcome this situation greatly the enemy will have no place to tear down. Sensing the loss will be replaced with bigger and better than before. I offer thus for your discernment, but I was encouraged I could sense the presence of the Holy Spirit during that time. Blessings and prayers to you all
In Christ, Deborah
Dear friends at COC,
I hurt with you in the devastation at the COC. That place became precious to me at the MTE in June. How much more precious to all of you with long histories there. I feel something of your pain and pray for the comforting balm of God’s Spirit to minister to you all.
I feel the swirl of everything: emotions, practical needs for dealing with the disaster and needs for ongoing ministry. Needs that are both physical and spiritual, and I pray for the whole mixed mess.
At the same time, I sensed from the first news of the fire an opportunity for great good to come from this thing the enemy meant for harm. One good thing I am praying into is that it will release a flood of giving to finish the Prayer House and to sustain and support the ministry through this time of recovery. May there be an abundance of financial provision, as well as the emotional and physical support needed. I pray that the Lord will bring your situation to the attention of those with disaster relief expertise and capacity to help and that they will respond helpfully.
Finally, I pray that the ministry will go on effectively. My discernment is that this fire is connected to everything that is going on in the ministry and is the enemy’s attempt to hinder or stop good things that God is doing through PRMI.. So I am praying for the opposite an increase of everything needed to release the ministry to do even greater good for the King!
Shalom, God’s Peace be with you,
Russ
