Dear friends who support our work in Israel,
This letter is to ask you to pray and to give toward our November 6-14, 2017 Jerusalem Prayer Endeavor. This is not a tour, but an intensive time of engagement in intercessory prayer and spiritual warfare in the epicenter of God’s great redemptive plans that center around the city of Jerusalem.
A wonderful team is coming together which will involve members of our core leadership team including the Rev. Cindy Strickler, Jeanne Kraak, Rev. Martin Boardman and myself. We are so far joined by seven others including three representatives from the Chinese world living in New York City. (They are part of John Chang’s congregation.) To this team we are privileged to add Rabbi Mark Rantz who serves a dual-expression congregation (Messianic Jewish synagogue with a Pentecostal congregation) in Ocala, Florida.
I met Rabbi Mark at the Tikkun international conference in May in Baltimore. I invited him to the Mountain Top Equipping Camp at the COC in June. He joined in the teaching, fellowship and prayer work of this meeting. I believe he is now called to join us in this strategic trip to Israel.
God is doing something remarkable on this trip with the addition of Rabbi Mark. God is putting together the army of intercessors which consist of the One New Man – that is, born-again Jews and Gentiles. He is also linking in the great movement of the Holy Spirit taking place among the Chinese in the Back to Jerusalem Movement and the move of the Holy Spirit among those from the USA, Canada and the UK. Truly an amazing team!
Here is what we need prayer for, as well as how you can help.
We have not had enough gifts coming in for the Prayer Initiative to cover the expenses of the leadership team to go on this trip. In addition, many of those called to join us also lack the funds for the airfare and the expenses while in Israel. The actual cost of the airfare per person is between $800 and $2,000 and the cost for each person in Israel is about $1,700. Add to this PRMI administrative costs of $6,000in addition to the PRMI team’s air fares and in-country expenses. We are stepping out in faith and getting the air tickets now because the longer we wait the more expensive they will be.
Any financial gift would help. You can donate here on line, call in your credit card to Suzi at 828-669-7373, or send a check to PRMI at P.O. Box 429, Black Mountain, NC 28711. Designate the gift for “Jerusalem Prayer Endeavor.” If you would like to contribute toward the expenses of a particular individual going on the trip, you may designate that in a separate note. (This way you may receive a tax deduction for your gift which cannot be to individuals but to the ministry initiative.
As important, perhaps more so than the financial help, is your prayer support. Will you please join us in praying for and supporting this trip which is so strategic, not just on site but in building prayer cohorts for the ongoing work upon our return.
There may be a specific person on this trip for whom you are being called to pray. Please commit to praying for them as we are stepping into a spiritual warfare situation which is not safe unless each of us is well covered in prayer.
We would like to keep you updated as we prepare for this trip. You can sign up for prayer updates here. Also, please let Martin Boardman at martinb@prmi.org know if you are called to focus upon a particular person on the trip as well as letting that person know that you are committed to praying for them.
Thanks so much!!
In Christ,
Brad Long
P. S. Just to show you a little about the impact of these Jerusalem Prayer Endeavors, below is a short video report from Jeanne Kraak, the administrator for these Endeavors.

I will be praying for this endeavour to Israel for the team and the movement that will reach so many. I will be doing an online study in Biblical Hebrew throughout both prayer endeavours. I will be doing the course with the University of Jerusalem and will visit the University in March, although it will be more of a tour of Israel. My heart and prayers will be with you all as I also learn a little while I pray for you and Israel.
God bless you all and may He also provide all needs to do the work He sends you to do!
